GENERAL SUMMARY

NPD Industrial Engineering position is responsible for developing assembly strategy for the new vehicles introduction considering the current production lineup and assembly methods.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

Responsible for communicating the needs and requests from the plant to the R&D group from the early stages of the program.

Responsible for working with IE team to ensure no turbulence related with new layout, manpower, assembly sequence or complexity of components assembly during the different NPD events (Pilot Runs, Dry Run, SOP, etc.).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Engineering degree (Industrial or Manufacturing)

Experience 4 years or more in manufacturing or automotive industry

Bilingual (80% English & Spanish) both oral and written.

Knowledge on STPP NOMS-06, NOMS-26, NOMS-27, NOMS-36

Ergonomic Methods (NIOSH, RULA, REBA, Suzanne Rodgers)

Risk Assessments

Problem Solving Skills

Line Balancing and Time studies.

Auto CAD (Catia plus)

SAP

Lean manufacturing Tools (Standard Work, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S’s, Poka-yoke, One Piece Flow, Model Mix)
