As a Solution Architect / Technical Lead, you will play a key role in shaping our technology stack, defining the technical vision, and leading the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable fintech solutions.
Role Overview:
The Solution Architect / Technical Lead will be responsible for the overall design and architecture of the company's technology solutions. This role combines technical leadership with strategic thinking and will require you to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and operations, to build and deliver high-quality fintech products. You will drive the technical direction and ensure that the solutions align with business objectives, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Architecture:
• Lead the architecture design and development of scalable, secure, and reliable fintech platforms and products.
• Develop and maintain the overall technical architecture vision and strategy.
• Create architectural roadmaps and ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.
• Ensure all technical designs comply with relevant security, regulatory, and financial industry standards.
• Technical Leadership:
• Lead technical teams through the full development lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Business, Operations) to define and refine product requirements.
• Make critical technical decisions and provide solutions to complex technical problems.
• Act as a subject matter expert for fintech technologies and solutions.
• System Integration and Innovation:
• Design and oversee the integration of various third-party services, APIs, and legacy systems within the fintech platform.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, fintech trends, and regulations, recommending innovations to improve the product and platform.
• Champion best practices for API development, microservices architecture, and cloud-based deployments.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Ensure the technical solution adheres to security, compliance, and regulatory standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).
• Review code, perform architecture and design reviews, and enforce best practices to ensure high-quality code and secure systems.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define and implement testing strategies.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
• Provide regular updates on technical progress, risks, and challenges to management.
• Scalability and Performance:
• Lead efforts to optimize the scalability, performance, and availability of fintech systems.
• Ensure the architecture can scale to handle increasing transaction volumes, user growth, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentorship and Team Development:
• Mentor junior developers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous learning.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers, ensuring that best practices are followed across all projects.

Qualifications:
Education:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 3+ years in a Solution Architect or Technical Lead role, preferably within the fintech or financial services industry.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering complex software solutions at scale.
• Extensive experience in leading technical teams and managing multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, C#, Node.js, etc.), database design (SQL/No SQL), and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Fintech Domain Expertise: Understanding of fintech domains, including payments, banking APIs, mobile wallets, fraud detection, digital currency, and compliance.
• Solution Architecture: In-depth knowledge of software design principles, architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven, serverless), and enterprise integration strategies.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, AML/KYC.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of mentoring teams and driving technical excellence.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban).

Desirable Skills:

• Certification in Cloud Architecture (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, etc.).
• Experience with blockchain technologies and digital currencies is a plus.
• Familiarity with fintech security practices, fraud detection, and secure payment gateways.

Pay: KD1,200.000 - KD1,500.000 per month
