THE ROLE
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

• Test, maintain and improve software libraries to generate datasets, run code in real-time, manage smooth, efficient and low-latency communication of data across different platforms (GPU, CPU, FPGA, neuromorphic hardware), train AI networks;
• Optimize code implementation for low-latency and real-time, on GPU, CPU or neuromorphic hardware;
• Support and team up with the researchers in the research line to improve and integrate all their modules;
• Support and team-up with other technicians in IIT;
• Development and maintenance of demonstrators.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• A Ph D/MSc in computer science, engineering, robotics, or related fields
• Proficiency in C++, Python
• Good spoken and written English
• Knowledge of Brian2 or other SNN simulation as well as AI libraries
• Strong focus on stakeholder needs and expectations

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Background or interest in electronics and circuit design
• Background or interest in FPGA and AI tools
• Background or interest in neuromorphic technology, event-driven sensing, and robotics
• High motivation to learn
• Adeptness at time and priority management
• Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
• Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
• Analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindset
