Mission

 The position will be based in Rome or Madrid office.
 His work will be developed in Italy for Italian Projects, PV and BESS.
 The main functions associated with the position of the Electrical Grid Engineer,
(EGE), among others and reporting to the Director of Engineering of the Company,
and the Italy Country Manager, are the following:
 Provide Technical support to Business Development Department during the Project development period until Ready to Build status, on Electrical Substations, and Interconnection Lines.
 Also give technical support to other Departments of the Company, if necessary.
 Attend site qualification visits to collect information required to complete thedesign, local regulations and permitting of renewable energy projects including BESS, PV amongst others.
 Develop for Sunco’s projects electrical technical specifications, calculation and design drawings, bill of materials and indicative prices, etc, compliant with all national, regional or local codes as well as other requirements of any other stakeholders.
 Coordinate with the project development team the quality standards, technical follow-up meetings and requirements to be satisfied by the external developers, local or international engineering to suddesfully develop the project and get all required approvals for the final design.
 Attend and support technically conversations with TERNA, ENEL, and other public or private stakeholders in Tavolo Tecnicos, Conferenza di Servizi, or any other meeting.
 Provide technical input to support the interconnection application and Utility approval process.
 In the mid-term give support in meetings or onsite during the construction process of Interconnection installations.

Profile

The individual filling this position would ideally have the following skills and experience.
Applicants that lack all of the requirements below will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on their qualification in key areas.
 A Master in Electrical Engineering.
 Experience in the design of aerial and buried evacuation lines
 Experience in the design Electrical Substations
 Knowledge and experience with the complete Interconnection process with Italian TSO or DSOs, from STMG, through STMD, contracts, to final Collaudo’s.
 Review and approve of documents and Projects made by Developers (PTO,Technical Documentation of Electrical Substations and Evacuation Lines, etc).
 Knowledge of the Rules, Procedures and Connection processes with TERNA and ENEL.
 Knowledge of Photovoltaic Plants and BESS, amongs other technologies.
 Knowledge of the Project Legalization Processes in Italy.
 Experience in design and commissioning activities of Electrical installations.
 Experience designing electrical systems (Low, Medium and High voltage), experience with electrical Switchgear, Electrical Substations.
 Knowledge in the handling and use of regulations at national and international level (Low Voltage, High Voltage, NTS-631, IEC´s, etc).
 Experience in analysis and evaluation of supplies of contractors, technically and economically.
 Verification of final documentation like; as-built drawings, instructions of operation and maintenance, etc.
 Strong working knowledge of Auto CAD software.
 Knowledge about other programs, as ETAP, DIGSILENT, PSSE, etc.
 Strong organizational and communication skills to manage the activities required in the design, commissioning, etc, of solar electric systems.
 Good working knowledge of MS Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, Microsoft Project.
 Experience working in the electrical construction industry, at least five (3) years.
 High level of Italian and English, written and spoken. Spanish would be a plus.
