Position Summary - The Logistics Coordinator reports to the General Manager and main responsibility is to coordinate & enhance the business unit’s Value Supply Chain and Physical Distribution Functions in Support all business endeavors. The ultimate goal of the LS is to enable and ensure flawless product supply to the market. As such, the LS is also responsible for some quality & regulatory activities.


Responsibilities:

• Coordinate & enhance all business unit’s process to ensure flawless availability of product supply to the market.
• Initiate and deploy improvement projects, based on predefined priorities & budget.
• SAPB1 custodian, while closely collaborating & coordinate with CS& Opps + finance department.
• Monitors all logistics endeavors, curriers, dispatch, warehouse, forecasting, reporting, etc.
• Analyze report and manage the supply chain through timely units forecasting, procurement and progress disciplines, with specific attention to order point levels. Analyze and report the key indicators vs. target, specifically inventory levels, days on hand and excess & obsolescence.
• Link with external providers in the implant Global Supply Chain; and to provide and elicit such information and statistics to optimize inventory and assets.
• Lead inventory rationalization and productivity initiatives within a ' no backorders ' environment.
• Monitor all consignment activities.
• Work with management to identify opportunities within the local Zim Vie markets, and their respective dependencies on the role of Logistics Coordinator.
• Management of Special Projects impacting cross department and business activities.
• Other duties that may be required from time to time.

Key Competencies, Skills & Education:

• Business qualification and/or able to display appropriate attributes and experience in a related discipline.
• Strong sense of initiative, follow-through, and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English both verbal and in written materials.
• Advantage - Knowledge / background in dental medical devices an advantage.
• Advantage- Three years in supply chain manager and/or business environment.
• Coordination experience with strong interpersonal skills with excellence in written and verbal communication
• Strong information management capabilities, computer literate including proficient in SAP, office suit.
• Exceptional team player with experience in dealing with people at all levels.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Procurement + Experience in Forecasting, a considerate +.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team-oriented environment
• Strong decision making, change management and negotiation skills, critical and analytical skills, creative thinking problem solving ability. Ability to work well and quickly under pressure, effective time management, organization, and prioritizing. Working with deadlines and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to 10Kg and occasional lifting of 15-20 Kg (with help), occasional climbing of ladders; usage of pallet jacks.
