Duanaire Kindergarten, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan is looking for an enthusiastic toddler room assistant to join our team. Must be a positive, kind and child centred educator with experience.
· Minimum of FETAC level 5 in childcare, level 6, 7 or 8 desirable.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in childcare setting
· Knowledge of Early Years Regulations, Children’s First, Aistear and Siolta
· The ideal candidate must be child focused, enthusiastic motivated and able to work as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria:
· Experience in working with 2-3 year age group.
· Minimum 1 years experience in a similar role.
· Paediatric First Aid, and Child First Training would be an advantage.
· The room assistant is responsible for supporting the room leader for the day to day running of the toddler room and ensuring that there is a safe, caring and welcoming environment for the children and their families.
· The room assistant is responsible for supporting the room leader in providing a varied and stimulating programme that meets the needs of the children, which includes curriculum development.
