- Conduct business analysis (market insights, consumption trends)
- Manage the assigned purchasing categories
- Prepare documentation and ensure all systems are properly updated
- Prepare and issue requests for quotations
- Use SAP to ensure on-time management of all activities associated with acquiring and delivering supplies to the end users
- Manage Materials Budget under own responsibility
- Prepare benchmarking reports, RFx, assessments
- Review supplier commercial terms & conditions (quality, price, delivery time)
- Support the qualification of suppliers
- Ensure all administrative functions related with procurement
- Maintain contract databases and preferred vendor list updated
- Participate in change control evaluation as appropriate
- Participate in investigations, definition of corrective/preventive actions and deviations closing (as applicable)
- Collaborate in the revision of raw materials specifications (as applicable)
- Collaborate in Internal Quality and HSE audits
- Evaluate materials quality requirements
- Ensure all assigned tasks are properly planned and delivered on time, safely, efficiently, reliably and in a cost-effective manner
- Propose improvements to the area as appropriate and solve problems
- Make quality and timely decisions within the procurement tasks under their responsibility
We are looking to recruit a Candidate::
- University degree, preferably a Master’s in Engineering, Life Sciences or Business Management
- Typically requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in a purchasing department, working primarily with chemicals
- Previous experience in supply chain roles (sourcing, procurement, logistics or supplier development) preferred
- Strong understanding and knowledge of procurement and negotiation principles
- Fluency in English is a requirement
