Senior Sales Representative: Cherry Orchard, Dublin 10
Mc Mahons Builders Providers have been providing quality building supplies and DIY materials to the trade and public for over 190 years and have grown to become one of the largest independent builder’s providers on the island of Ireland, with a network of 11 stores, as well as a Truss Manufacturing plant and 3 Hardwood & Sheet Material branches. Mc Mahons offer a one stop shop offering, with a wide range of products catering for the Builder, DIY enthusiast and Home Owner.
The Role
Mc Mahons are now seeking applications for the position of a Senior Sales Representative – for their Dublin Branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager and working closely with the National Sales Manager, the responsibilities of the role will include the following:
Ø The proactive development of new business with key existing customers and potential
new customers.
Ø Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of new sales opportunities through the
proactive management of new leads and information utilising the innovative tools
provided.
Ø Develop strong working relationships with customers and building product suppliers
to maximise sales opportunities.
Ø The management of key customers contracts and information in an organised and
efficient manner.
Ø Quickly responding to and resolving any customer queries raised, ensuring that the
company’s excellent customer service levels are maintained.
Ø Providing weekly and monthly reports to the Branch Manager and National Sales
Manager covering the sales activity in the region.
The Person
The following mix of experience and attributes will be required by the successful candidate:
Ø A minimum of 3 years experience in a Sales role.
Ø Be a results driven person with a proven track record of meeting sales and margin
targets.
Ø An interest in the construction sector and building materials.
Ø Experience in the merchanting and/or construction sector is desirable, but not
essential.
Ø Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ø Excellent negotiation skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Ø Experienced in using Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
