The Hodson Bay Hotel are excited to welcome applications for a Food and Beverage Assistant to join our friendly Food and Beverage team in our Bar & Brasserie/Restaurant. The successful candidate will be assisting the smooth running of Lunch/Dinner service in our Bar & Brasserie/Restaurant.


We are interested in candidates who have availability to work afternoon & evening shifts between Monday and Friday. The typical starting times for this role is between 12-6pm and finishing time between 9pm-12am, depending on the candidates availability and business needs. Candidates must be flexible to work across weekdays and weekends when needed.

Main Duties:

• To carry out all Food & Beverage assistant duties as per the agreed standards.
• To assist and carry out duties for the Bar & Brasserie/Restaurant and Banqueting when necessary
• To participate in training as required by Manager or Supervisor.
• To be responsible for the service of the Bar & Brasserie/Restaurant where directed.
• To ensure the highest levels of Customer Care are practised at all times.
• To carry out the Hotel's customer relations policy.
• To communicate Hotel services to guests.
• To ensure cash/vouchers and all forms of payment are handled in a secure and responsible manner.
• To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
• To wear relevant uniform and name badge at all times.
• To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the Health & Safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the Hotel premises.
• Any other duties as directed by management.

A little bit about you:

• 1 year Food & Beverage/ Customer Service experience is desired
• Available to work mid-week afternoon or evening shifts
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to take initiative and anticipate customer needs
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
