Job title: Cleaning Operative
To ensure that assigned contracts are cleaned to the standards laid down by the customer and Darcy Contract Cleaning & to agreed specifications laid out in cleaning schedule. Will also be required to cover other cleaner's holidays and them yours.
General Responsibilities:
· Have full knowledge of all areas which are to be cleaned in the course of duty.
· Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards.
- Have full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by your line manager.
- Report any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use.
- Report any safety hazards or inappropriate compromises to the line Manager e.g. locked fire door, lifting flooring, lights not working etc.
- Ensure that the specified safety signage is used at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and “warn/advise” customers where possible & if applicable.
- To be aware of material expenditure and cost and avoid unnecessary waste.
- Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment stored safely at all times.
- Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Darcy Contract Cleaning and report immediately any shortages or discrepancies found.
- Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations, wearing company uniform & photographic ID as specified.
- Inform Contracts Supervisor of monthly cleaning material stock required so that new supplies can be re-ordered & delivered.
- To deal with any complaints by immediately reporting them to the Line Manager.
- Provide cover in other areas in times of sickness and holidays.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is kept clean & maintained in safe working order. Report any defects to the supervisor/Manager immediately.
- Comply with all Company policies procedures and client site rules and regulations.
- Comply with all Company & client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace.
- Complies with all company safety policies and associated procedures.
- Attends training as designated.
- May perform other duties or projects as assigned & agreed.
- Willingness to be open to learning and growing.
- Maturity of judgment and behaviour.
- Maintains high standards for work & good attention to detail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule helpful.
- Must comply with dress code policy.
- Has a professional approach & must comply with company confidentiality policies.
- Previous 1 years experience in a similar cleaning position is desirable, but also have opportunity to train.
- Must have a pro-active approach & be well organised.
Pay: From €13.30 per hour
Experience:
- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- English (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Ireland (required)
