The Pricing Analyst will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the company’s pricing strategy by analysing margin drivers, cost structures, and market pricing trends. This role is responsible for providing actionable insights to sales, technical, and supply chain teams to ensure profitability and price accuracy. Additionally, the Pricing Analyst will maintain updated pricing lists in the ERP system and contribute to competitive pricing decisions, balancing profitability with market competitiveness.

Perform in-depth analysis of product margin movements, identifying key drivers such as cost changes or selling price variations.

Provide early warnings on margin deterioration to sales managers (if selling price-driven) and to technical and supply chain teams (if cost-driven).

Analyse product portfolios within each product group, identifying the most profitable combinations, and making strategic recommendations to maximize profitability.

Ensure that the product selling price lists in the ERP system (DAX) are consistently updated to reflect current pricing strategies and market conditions.

Conduct competitor pricing analysis through both direct and proxy information to help the company remain competitive while protecting margins.

Identify market trends and competitor behaviour that may impact pricing strategy.

Monitor and report on market price trends, identifying shifts that could affect the company’s pricing strategies.

Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management on pricing trends and competitive positioning.

Communicate the rationale for price and margin movements to the sales force, ensuring they can effectively cascade the information to customers.

Collaborate with sales, technical, supply chain, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.

Assist marketing and product teams in determining optimal price points for new product launches.

Assist in developing and implementing dynamic pricing strategies to respond to market conditions, competitor actions, and customer demand.

Utilize pricing models and elasticity analysis to forecast the impact of price changes on revenue and profitability.

Leverage data from various internal and external sources to support pricing decisions, including sales trends, customer behaviour, competitor pricing, and market conditions.

Provide actionable insights on pricing to management, helping shape long-term pricing strategies.

Expertise in pricing strategies, margin analysis, cost structures, and ERP systems.
2-4 years in pricing analysis or financial roles, with experience in margin and portfolio profitability analysis.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., DAX), with strong analytical abilities.
Clear communication skills for explaining pricing rationale to cross-functional teams.
Ability to proactively identify pricing issues and offer solutions to improve margins.
Accuracy in managing price updates and understanding market trends and competitor behaviour.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and visualizing pricing data.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
