Our mission Is to empower delivery riders in fulfilling good moments. Right now we are looking for a Category Buyer to join our expanding team. This role is crucial in fostering global supplier relationships, identifying new products and services, being responsible for production processes, and optimizing costs.

What you will do

• Strategic Procurement Development: Identify and evaluate suppliers for groceries shops and restaurant packaging materials, including bags, take-away containers, labels, and other packaging components, ensuring they meet company standards for quality, cost, and sustainability.
• Supplier Selection: Evaluate potential suppliers. Build and maintain strong relationships with packaging suppliers. Regularly assess supplier performance, conduct negotiations, and seek cost-effective solutions
• Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to reach favourable agreements, including prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other contractual conditions. This often involves a RFP, or RFQ process.
• Contract Management: Formalize agreements through contracts, ensuring both parties adhere to the terms. Set clear performance metrics and expectations.
• Coordinate Procurement and Production Processes: Manage purchasing activities and ensure performance standards are met throughout production. Enhance procurement and production processes and policies for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Business Opportunities: The packaging buyer will play a crucial role in further developing the restaurant merch sales unit by supporting and guiding account management throughout the entire process, from strategy definition to implementation
• Reporting to: Director of Operations.

Skills & Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Packaging Material (procuring or selling)
• Availability to work on-site in Budapest, Hungary
• Business level English knowledge is a must, since we have an international team and international partners
• Knowledge and experience in packaging materials (take-away containers, paper, plastics, etc.), processing, and regulations.
• Experience in procuring restaurant merchandising.
• Proficiency in Google sheets or MS Excel
• Strategic mindset, positive, proactive and result-oriented attitude
• Great communication and negotiation skills
