Component Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Control the complete product development process of the assigned system/module from concept to serial production
• Coordinate all interfaces of systems/modules AVL-internally and towards customer and suppliers (e.g. testing, validation, production, assembly, procurement, quality, logistics, service…)
• Coordination and technical steering of system and component suppliers
• Definition of target/performance agreements internally and externally to ensure target achievement
• Change and release management
• Lead of assigned operative engineers in the project from all AVL, customer and supplier side
• Representation of assigned systems/modules in the Simultaneous Engineering Team

Profile:

• MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar
• Experience in design for industrialization, dealing with suppliers and manufacturers
• Conversational German (B2-C1), English is a plus
• MS Office, at least one CAD system knowledge (Creo, NX or Catia), knowledge of any Automotive OEM specific systems is an advantage
• Precise, reliable, responsible personality
• Willingness to work on site at the customers place if required
