About the Job
As a Category Specialist, you will be responsible for leading sourcing activities and category strategy implementation for all indirect categories at manufacturing sites of Xellia, including also technical/professional services.
Main Responsibilities
- Take ownership of local indirect materials/services supplier relationships specific to each site
- Understand all needs and priorities of the stakeholders for a defined category locally
- Develop, prepare and execute the procurement plan within own area of responsibility
- Act as an escalation point and support in securing Xellia’s supply of categories under responsibility for all stakeholders at any time
- Participate in investment projects locally as procurement responsible for Technical and Indirect Spend
- Lead procurement activities from preparation of procurement plan, through tender and negotiations to contract is signed
- Manage supplier relationships (set supplier KPIs, performance evaluation, disputes, contract management)
- Manage supplier portfolio to enhance stability and improve supplier networks while also doing some change management on supplier exit and onboarding
- Identify and evaluate new potential suppliers in all areas of responsibility and as per valid procedures
- Negotiate and implement contracts with suppliers
- Define and execute initiatives which will assure the strategy implementation
- Initiate, manage and support local cost saving and efficiency projects
- Manage spend and savings data related to sites under territory
- Report savings and other relevant activities data on time in full
- Strong focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Contribute to maintain an OTIF in line with Xellia's defined target
What We Expect
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience from similar role
- Experience with e.g. freight services, IT, facility management and travel services
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Fluent in Hungarian and English (spoken and written)
This role may require a few days of travel per year to meet with suppliers.
