Position: Academy Director / Youth Development Director
Location: Hungary
About the Club: Our client is an iconic and prestigious football club in Hungary, being among the oldest in the country. With a rich history of national championships and legendary players, the club is a cornerstone of local football. Known for its commitment to youth development, the club has nurtured many talented players and is owned by a well-capitalized owner.
The Academy: The club is seeking a visionary leader for its academy, aiming to overcome historical challenges and achieve future ambitions. The academy has undergone significant restructuring, now supporting over 1000 young players with a staff of more than 200, including 150 coaches. With approximately 60 teams across various age groups, the academy is poised for growth.
Role Overview: The Academy Director will be responsible for developing and implementing the long-term strategy for the academy, focusing on talent scouting and development. This role involves overseeing the coaching staff, specialists, and administrative personnel, ensuring their selection and training align with the academy's goals. The director will also develop training programs that address the technical, tactical, mental, and physical development of young players.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the academy's long-term strategy.
- Oversee the selection and training of coaches, specialists, and administrative staff.
- Create and enforce training programs for player development.
- Maintain communication with club management, sponsors, parents, players, and international organizations.
- Monitor player progress and support their integration into the senior team.
- Ensure the academy operates within ethical and professional standards.
- Foster a healthy and safe environment for player development.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in youth development or establishment.
- At least 5 years of experience at a single club.
- Proven success in establishing a European club with strong youth management.
- Regional experience is a plus.
- References of developed players.
- Coaching qualifications (UEFA Pro, UEFA A or similar license).
- Commitment to a minimum of 3 years with the club.
- Willingness to reside locally and be present continuously, including weekends if necessary.
- Strong English language skills.
