Senior Technical Assistant (holding the functional title of Farm Supervisor / Senior Farm Technician) in the Centre for Civil Society and Governance (Ref.: 530639) (to commence as soon as possible for one year with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 passes in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or an equivalent qualification, which includes English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007) and Chinese (Level 2 from 2007), as well as at least 5 years of relevant working experience. Applicants should possess a good command of both written and spoken Chinese and be able to communicate in basic English. Applicants should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrate a sense of responsibility. Additionally, applicants are required to have solid experience in operating and maintaining Agricultural Machinery (ploughing and weeding machines). Priority will be given to those with management experience in farm establishment, operation, and production.
The successful candidate will be appointed to work on the experimental farms in Lai Chi Wo and Mui Tsz Lam, where he/she will primarily be responsible for leading the farming team in carrying out crop production, processing, and sales tasks, preparing farm budgets and reports, enforcing occupational safety instructions and regulations, organizing farm activities, and performing other related duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience, will be offered, along with annual leave and medical benefits. The appointee is required to work outdoors and occasionally on weekends or public holidays. Accommodation in a dormitory will be provided, and the appointee is encouraged to stay on-site between working days.
