Who will you be working with?

You will work closely with transversal departments within Project Managers, Design Team, Engineering Team and Field Service Team as well with Wabtec teams in APAC region and Europe. You will assist in operations and maintenance issue, troubleshooting and problem solving as required.

How will you make a difference?

The Technical Support & Warranty Engineer will be accountable for the technical delivery at project level when applicable, and ensuring problem solving during and after warranty. You will provide technical support and ensure technical output meet the requirements of Wabtec as well as meeting project deliveries within timescales agreed with the project team and clients.

What will your typical day look like?

By providing training, and elaborating method statements, ensure that the Technicians and Supervisors are able to perform the works up to required standard.

Be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Bills of Materials (BOM) for materials and tools for the projects, by working in close cooperation with Design and Project Management team to ensure its completeness

Support Project Operations by providing technical assistance is resolution of technical issues and or operations set up.

Ensure coordination between Design team (including teams overseas), Customer, Field Service team to resolve technical and logistical issues at site.

Support Quality Manager in attendance of Warranty and out of Warranty issues, and related technical expertise/analysis, inspections, tests.

Support tender team in preparation of technical proposal for bids and help to identify pain points at customer side in order to optimize technical proposals.

Maintain and Monitor Wabtec Installed base in the region (Hong Kong, South East Asia), and support sales team to identify business opportunities.

Any other duties as assigned by the manager.

What do we want to know about you?

Degree holder in E&M Engineering or other discipline. High diploma with sound experience / knowledge will also be considered. Candidate will higher qualification and experience may consider to be Senior Maintenance & Field Service Engineer.

3-5 years of relevant working experience, experience in rolling stock or related industries is a definite advantage. Software background is preferred.

Written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin is a MUST.

Holder of Hong Kong Driver License class 1 and 2 is an advantage.

Sound communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with all levels of personnel.

Proven experience in staff supervision is an advantage.

Able to pick up different product lines knowledge & transfer to service team member.

Good team player, responsible, diplomatic, proactive and able to work independently under minimal supervision.

Experience in Occupational Health and Safety and ISO standard is a definite advantage.

Can-do attitude. Able to work in fast pace and changing environment.
