Manager, IT
CONTRACT

Responsibilities:
- Define and enforce IT operational standards through regular audits to ensure high performance, security, data integrity, availability, reliability, and scalability. Prioritize key initiatives to meet operational objectives.
- Liaise with the IT risk management team to register, track, and mitigate production system risks. Oversee follow-up actions on audit findings and risk mitigation plans. Collaborate with SOCC and project teams to align operations with business objectives. Lead the Production Control Team to maintain daily operations and ensure system reliability.
- Govern the IT systems capacity planning process, ensuring thorough capacity reviews and accurate reporting by system support teams. Act as the authority for capacity planning to meet organizational standards and escalate reports appropriately.
- Oversee continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and streamline processes. Drive the team to identify areas for automation and new technologies to reduce manual efforts and improve system performance.
- Lead the team in managing all production incidents, making recommendations to reduce incident recurrence, minimize service impact, and enhance system availability.
Requirements:
- University Degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology/Systems or related discipline
- > 8 years of relevant working experience in project management and transition planning
- Holder of Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and / or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with ITIL V4 or previous versions, including capacity planning, incident management, and continuous improvement
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams in resource-constrained environments, with a focus on guiding, mentoring, and achieving strategic objectives
- Experience in conducting system audits, enforcing compliance with IT operational standards
- Experience in overseeing capacity planning in large-scale environments, ensuring scalability, tracking performance metrics, and governing system support teams
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing system performance and reducing downtime
- Solid experience in collaborating with development teams
- Ability to analyze complex systems and operational challenges, propose effective solutions, and ensure their implementation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese, Putonghua is preferred
