Duties: The appointee will be responsible for the development and maintenance of mobile learning applications, e.g. moodle. Main duties will include developing mobile applications and integrating them with existing system for mobile access; setting up and maintaining application server; performing system and functional design; performing system development and integration, conducting testing, preparing technical documentations, preparing user manuals, providing user trainings and support, generating usage statistics and collecting user feedback on mobile application services; and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
For the Post of IT Officer

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines;
• 4 years relevant working experience;

For the Post of Assistant IT Officer

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines with 1 year relevant working experience; or an Associate Degree or Higher Diploma in IT disciplines or equivalent plus 3 years relevant working experience;

Other Requirements

• Knowledge in mobile application development and web service development;
• Experience in application development, web programming and mobile application development is an advantage;
• Solid experience in Swift, Java, XML, SQL, PHP, CSS, HTML, Javascript, AJAX and mobile application frameworks;
• Knowledge in AI applications is an advantage;
• Familiar with OS such as Linux, and DBMS such as My SQL and Oracle;
• Team player with strong sense of responsibility, strong analytical and problem solving skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, independent and able to work under pressure;
• Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Experience in higher education m-learning development is a definite advantage.

Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review. A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Medical and dental benefits, 18 days’ annual leave and the use of library facilities will be provided where applicable. The School also provides staff development opportunities.
