Job Summary:
This role is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to HKEX's clearing houses, with a focus on Hong Kong's OTC centrally cleared financial markets and risk management by joining a 2nd line risk team performing an important role in support of HKEX's services.
The role has extensive exposure to senior risk management and provides a unique opportunity to demonstrate a strong understanding of the risks facing a complex, systemically important financial institution as well as in depth experience of fixed income / fx / rates derivatives and the risk and operational processes required to support them.
Embedded within the Group Enterprise Risk Management - Enterprise Risk Analytics team, this role will be primarily responsible for OTC Clear and HKEX related risk analysis across all risk domains.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

• Perform the 2nd line risk management activities, with a focus on the OTC Clear, across all financial and non-financial risk areas.
• Perform the 2nd line review of new product and service proposals pertaining to the OTC Clear service or related areas alongside other 2nd line teams.
• Define and produce risk monitoring and reporting to support the OTC Clear CRO with Board reporting responsibilities.
• Drive the alignment of the risk management approaches and policies for the OTC Clear in accordance with the Group Risk Appetite and regulations across jurisdictions.
• Create new tools/techniques that can enhance the group level risk monitoring.
• Develop research papers to advance standards and strategies of enterprise risk topics at HKEX

Requirements:

• 6 or more years of relevant experience in fixed income risk and general risk management within a financial institution.
• Master's degree or equivalent in finance, economics, mathematics or related discipline.
• Proficient with data analysis and management report writing. • Professional risk qualification (or studying towards) would be beneficial (e.g. CFA, FRM).
• Relevant working experience in an Exchange or Clearing House and familiarity with the requirements of CPMI-IOSCO
• Experience with developing or validating risk policies.
