About your future role
We are seeking for a skilled Analyst to join our Compliance & AML team. As an AML Analyst you will participate in the analysis and assessment of the company’s ML/TF risks and the correct configuration of the AML system, taking into consideration the provision of the current relevant regulatory framework and best practices. This role provides you with the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, combining work from home and from the office. Your local team will be based in Greece.
- Ensure the proper implementation of the AML/CFT Policy across the Company.
- Develop and maintain a risk assessment framework for products, services and clients related to money laundering.
- Detect, investigate and report suspicious activities to the competent authorities in an efficient and timely manner, such as the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
- Coordinate and resolve audit, regulator and merchant inquiries related to AML topic.
- Conduct analysis and investigation of the alerts generated from the AML transaction monitoring system and identify potential suspicious or unusual activity.
- Perform statistical data analysis to optimize the parametrization of the AML system.
- Provide advice and guidance to all Departments across Nexi Payments Greece, by establishing clear accountabilities, roles and responsibilities so as to better manage AML risks.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of relevant AML Policies and Procedures.
- Support the development of robust AML Training Program and conduct trainings if needed for different Teams to raise awareness on ML/TF risks. Cooperate with Government Agencies (such as Tax Authorities, Banks, Judicial Authorities) regarding lawful requests for information resulted during their investigations.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:
- 5+ years of experience in an AML or Compliance role in the financial services/ payment industry.
- Deep knowledge of AML laws and regulations in Greece and the European Union, as well as best practices.
- Previous proven working experience in Digital Payments area will be required.
- Bachelor's and/or Master’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields.
- Excellent command of English & Greek language (verbal & written communication).
- Organized team player with a positive “can do” attitude and with that a determination to succeed in a challenging and competitive environment.
- Analytical and critical thinking combined with data-driven and willingness to learn attitude.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Result oriented, problem solver able to work under pressure and deliver within set deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all hierarchy levels within the organization.
