Servus, we are Re DI Munich! We are the Munich branch of Re DI School of Digital Integration, a non-profit tech school committed to more educational equality, integration and a solution to the shortage of IT specialists. We offer high quality coding and basic computer courses to migrants and marginalised locals who do not have easy access to digital education. In combination with a unique career and mentorship program, which includes the chance to collaborate with tech companies, startups, and digital industry leaders, we provide our learners with valuable digital skills, strengthened career skills, and a strong network of tech professionals to facilitate their entry into the German job market.
As IT Projects and Career Specialist, you will join our Digital Career Program team in Munich, who offer evening classes, career services, and real-life practice projects (Re DI LAB) to the school’s most advanced learners. They stem from all over the world and you will support their career journey into our local Munich tech industry. You will deliver career services with our large and diverse community, focusing especially on the sub-program Re DI LAB:
Re DI LAB (Learn Apply Build) is an initiative that connects learners with real-life projects with clients. The learners can apply and further their learning in a work-like environment, delivering a real digital product, and so boost their portfolios for their job search.

Your tasks

Manage the Re DI LAB, including:

• Planning, strategy, and program development
  
• Acquiring and defining projects in collaboration with external partners
  
• Recruiting, onboarding and coaching the project participants and volunteer support network
  
• Ensuring an effective and useful learning environment
  
• Tracking and sharing the program’s success
  

Coordinate other initiatives for career development and job integration, including:

• Supporting the Student Community Manager during the recruitment, onboarding, and semester where required to get to know the learners and their needs
  
• Organising and supporting local career-oriented events in collaboration with our central career service team and external partners
  
• Managing the Munich alumni network and any other initiatives to boost employability
  
• Tracking learners’ success stories and reporting on our impact
  

You will also support the evening classes on a rotational basis and any key events alongside the rest of the Digital Career Program team to ensure that the semester runs smoothly and effectively.

Your profile

Required

• Understanding of IT project management and the digital product development process
  
• Experience in the tech industry and one or more of the following:
  
  • Basic programming skills (preferably Python and/or Javascript)
    
  • Working knowledge of data science (statistics, data visualisation, machine learning)
    
  • Experience transforming user needs into design concepts and implementing effective user interfaces
    
• Solid project management and organisational talent
  
• Excellent people and representational skills, be it with learners, volunteers, colleagues, or external partners
  
• Team player
  
• Drive, flexibility, and an innovative mindset to make things happen and improve the status quo
  
• Motivation to support individuals with their career goals and advocate for more equal opportunities in the tech industry
  
• Professional English
  

Desirable

• German B2 or higher
  
• Experience with career counseling or similar, especially for the tech industry
  
• Experience in the education sector, preferably adult education
