Your role

As an Embedded Test Automation Engineer, you will work on a project that best suits your background and interests. Depending on your seniority level and project, the daily tasks may vary, but typically include test automation framework design and development, test environment development, specifying and developing test cases according to software requirements, HIL testing, preparing relevant documentation, supporting your colleagues, customers and our sales team.
Your goal during the first year is to find your feet in our group, become a trusted member of project teams and solidify your expertise in the area. You will join a project team and take part in our projects, offering your know-how in building and defining sustainable solutions for our clients. Your Project Manager, Huld Leader and Mentor will support you to ramp up your work efficiently.

Skills and qualifications

Prerequisites

• B.Sc., M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in a suitable area, e.g., computer science, automation, mathematics, physics or electronics.
• Understanding of embedded systems supported by 3-10 years of work experience in test automation and continuous integration.
• Experience with Robot Framework, Jenkins, Dev Ops, Java, Python and other scripting languages.
• Good communication skills and ambitious attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with C/C++, Linux, scripting languages.
• Experience with HIL testing, Lab VIEW, manual testing.
• Experience in any of the following areas is an advantage: safety critical software, autonomous systems, Io T, GNSS, algorithm development, scientific computing, data science, functional safety.
• ISTQB Foundation level certificate.
• Fluent English, preferably also Finnish.
