Job Description
- Proficient in managing Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems in enterprise environments.
- Experience with system virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Power Shell, and Python for automation and task orchestration.
- Familiar with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Solar Winds, Splunk) to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking and storage technologies.
- Knowledge of security protocols and practices for protecting systems and data.
- Ability to perform system audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management tools.
- RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator, or equivalent certifications.
Personal Skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to quickly diagnose and resolve system-related issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operating system administration, particularly in managing enterprise environments.
- Certifications in RHCE, MCSE, AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator, or equivalent. Experience with containerization and ITIL processes is a plus.
