BACKGROUND
The Om Habibeh Foundation (OHF) is an Egyptian non-profit organization established in 1991 under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity. OHF is the implementation agency for the Aga Khan Foundation Egypt and is an affiliate of the Aga Khan Development Network of organizations and was founded by Om Habibeh Mohamed Shah Aga Khan to contribute to and support local communities in the governorate of Aswan in areas including health care, education, and providing income for deprived communities through long-term development activities. OHF works in the following areas: Continuing Education, Civil Society, Agriculture and Food Security, Economic Inclusion, Women Empowerment and Early Childhood Development.
POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The Field Officer is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring the smooth implementation of program and operations activities and adherence to logistic procedures. The field officer will report to the Head of the agriculture and food security Programme.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the incumbent will assist to:
Work closely with the CSOs to finalize all the required documents and procedures.
Implement and track the project’s activities to face any challenges relevant to the work plan.
Maintain, strengthen and deepen relationships among community development associations (CDAs) management.
Elicit community participation and ownership, through working closely with community members in different locations to support the project’s activities.
Support the implementation of parenting manual through organizing community orientation meetings and follow up sessions at the field level.
Collect data, maintain organized filling system and prepare reports and analyses for monitoring & evaluation purposes.
Participate with the team in developing annual actions plans.
Any other assignment requested by the Project Manager.
The requirements
REQUIRED QULAIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
A bachelor's degree from a reputable university relevant to the scope of work.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 2-3 years relevant experience working in community projects.
Experience in working with Government officials.
Proven experience in entrepreneurial and startup environments, as well as expertise in developing business models.
COMPETENCIES:
Good communication skills in English and Arabic.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Good command of computer (word, excel, power point…. etc).
Ability to work within a team.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Hybrid work that is a blend of in-office and field visits.
Normal conditions for an office environment.
