Your role
This role is about more than maintenance it’s about leading and mentoring a skilled team, driving engagement, and aligning people and processes with our strategic goals. As the Technical Manager, you’ll foster a collaborative and supportive environment where high standards and open communication drive results. You’ll guide, develop, and empower a talented maintenance team to achieve operational excellence and strategic impact. By joining Flügger, you’ll play a vital role in building a cohesive team that supports our mission to meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly products and ensures compliance with evolving environmental standards. You’ll be instrumental in implementing our strategy by setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and fostering a proactive culture of reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop dedicated maintenance team, emphasizing growth, skill development, and cross-functional collaboration
- Implement strategic maintenance practices (e.g., RCM, CMMS, TPM, Lean) that support our broader business objectives
- Work closely with senior management to align departmental goals with Flügger’s strategic priorities, supporting our long-term vision for sustainability and growth
- Cultivate a strong safety culture by training and guiding the team on adherence to safety and quality standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
- Lead strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement through Lean methodologies, Kaizen events, and equipment optimization
- Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure team goals are met and support company-wide objectives
- Oversee budget management, track expenses, and manage the maintenance resource plan to optimize team productivity
- Participate in cross-departmental projects, representing the Maintenance team’s goals and ensuring alignment with broader operational strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5-10 years of management experience, with a proven record in team leadership, talent development, and strategic alignment
- Strong understanding of people management principles and demonstrated success in developing employees within your area of responsibility
- Expertise in preventive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance, and Lean principles
- Familiarity with ERP, CMMS, and SCADA systems, and the ability to analyze and act on KPIs effectively
- Strong communication skills with a focus on fostering collaboration and high team engagement
- Strategic and performance-driven, with the ability to think holistically and lead with impact.
