Your tasks

• • Design and implementation of functionality in VHDL for state-of-the-art FPGAs, ranging from infrastructure to signal processing for 6G. • Building a simulation environment in VHDL, Python, and Matlab for verification. • Integration and testing on the latest R&S CMX500 Radio Communication Tester. Fault analysis and debugging of your own modules, as well as the overall system. • Participation in agile teams, including spec/feature analysis, time estimates, design and code review, and documentation. • Participation in our KIT innovation organization (Knowledge, Innovation, and Technology) with up to 5% of your time, to ensure your and the company’s competencies in new technologies, methods, and tools, as well as effective knowledge sharing. • Limited travel activity.

Your qualifications

• • Educated M.Sc.E.E. with a focus on signal processing, embedded systems, wireless communication technology, or equivalent. • In-depth experience with the design, implementation, integration, and debugging of complex hardware/software systems and projects. • Knowledge of 3GPP standards, especially LTE, NR or NTN, is an advantage. • Knowledge of other wireless standards, especially NBIo T, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, is an advantage. • Solid knowledge and experience with VHDL/Verilog. • Experience with FPGA tools such as Vivado, Quartus, Model Sim, or Aldec Riviera. • Solid and documented knowledge of Matlab and Python. • Knowledge of version and project management tools – e.g., GIT. • Outgoing and good communication skills. • Good English skills, both spoken and written.
