As an AC-TAP at the Department of Clinical Medicine, you will be part of what is probably the largest health science research department in Denmark. Our clinical research covers all the medical specialities and takes place in close collaboration with the university hospital and the regional hospitals in the Central Denmark Region. We have approx. 30,000 square metres of modern research facilities for experimental surgery and medicine, animal facilities and also advanced scanners at our disposal. The department has overall responsibility for the Master's degree programs in medicine and in molecular medicine. At the department we are approx. 670 academic employees, 500 Ph D students and 160 technical/administrative employees who are cooperating across disciplines. As an AC-TAP, you will be working at Aarhus University Hospital or another hospital in the Central Denmark Region.
Your job responsibilities
The Preclinical Neuroimaging section at TNU primarily performs in vivo molecular PET imaging and postmortem autoradiography in translationally relevant rodent and minipig models of Parkinson’s disease and depression to study the mechanisms of novel therapeutic approaches. We are also involved in the development and validation of novel imaging radioligands.
As an AC-TAP, you will be responsible for coordinating our research activities (eg. ordering animals, planning and participating in surgeries and scans), overseeing the purchase of supplies, maintaining equipment and contributing to ongoing projects by performing PET and autoradiography experiments and data analysis using PMOD and Beamage. You may also be asked to contribute to immunohistochemistry, western blotting, fiber photometry, RNAscope, Nanostring and behavioural studies, as part of ongoing collaborations with other research groups. The selected candidate is expected to play a large role in training new students, supporting ongoing projects and contributing to ongoing academic and industry collaborations and contract work.
You will report to the Associate Professor Anne M. Landau.
Your competences
The preferred applicant should have a Ph D in Neuroimaging and expertise in PET imaging analysis in rodents and minipig models using PMOD, and real-time digital autoradiography. They should have experience in stereotaxic surgeries and behavioural analysis.
As a person, you have good interpersonal skills, are inclusive and team-oriented and able to contribute to a good work environment.
We expect you to be fluent in oral and written English.

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with collective agreement between Danish Ministry of Taxation and the relevant organisation and multi-union collective agreement.
