Research Assistant - Plasmonic nanostructures

Job Description
Research Group Fabrication and Characterisation of Nanostructures is seeking a research assistant with experience in plasmonic nanostructures.
- Design of plasmonic nanostructures from non-noble metals: Ga, Bi, Pb, VO2.
- Fabrication of plasmonic nanostructures: thin film deposition and lithographic approaches.
- Characterization of plasmonic nanostructures in a transmission electron microscope.
- Knowledge of methods for fabricating nanostructures: thin film deposition and lithographic techniques.
- Experience with analytical electron microscopy (imaging, SAED, EELS, EDX).
- Experience with investigating plasmonic antennas from non-noble metals (e.g. Bi, Ga).
- Basic knowledge of Python programming.
- Application of physics to solve engineering problems.
- Excellent team working skills, self-motivation, initiative and persistence.
- Good communication skills, fluent written and spoken English.
- English-speaking environment.
