Four Seasons Hotel Prague is looking for a talented Banquet Sous Chef to join our team.
About the role:
Responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the planning, directing, controlling, coordinating and participating in the daily activities of food preparation in banquets Kitchen & Staff Cafeteria. Actively keeps himself involved with the culinary and hotel team. Be pro-active and researches on new food trends and food technology. Assists the Executive Chef to provide the highest quality of food within cost percentage of the hotel.
This job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the country of Czech Republic.
This position is offered for a defined period of time of 24 months with a possibility of extension to unlimited contract based on your performance. Your trial period will be 6 months.
What You will do:
- Own the food operation in both Banquets and Employee Cafeteria. Develop recipes and presentation pictures for new menus and standards accurately.
- Evolve Catering Brochure and Creation of Monthly Staff Cafeteria Menus.
- Organize all areas of the kitchen including prep, stations and storage.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control.
- Support creativity among culinary team members, and mentor the next generation of culinary talent including student internship program.
- Ensures the hotel cost control policies and procedures are followed
- Follow HACCP and local Hygiene laws at all times
What You will bring:
- Previous experience in Banquets in similar and/or related fields in a 5* Hotel.
- At least 1 year experience as Sous Chef.
- Fluent English and preferably Czech language. Additional languages desirable.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Delivers results within a pressurized deadline driven environment.
