Site IT Operations Engineer - Audiovisual Support

The Position
Key Responsibility
  • Collaborate with event organizers, presenters, and production teams to understand and fulfill audiovisual requirements.
  • Work independently with third-party technical support, other departments, and external facility users.
  • Operate audiovisual equipment during events to deliver seamless, high-quality audio and visuals.
  • Assist with company events, ensuring event producers have the necessary connectivity and access to local systems.
  • Manage audio mixing, including adjusting volume levels and sound quality for clear and balanced sound projection.
  • Set up and configure audiovisual equipment, including microphones, speakers, mixers, projectors, screens, video cameras, lighting systems, and video conferencing systems.
  • Ensure proper operation of screens and monitors throughout the site in adherence to team standards.
  • Perform regular maintenance, inspection, and testing of audiovisual equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Work with external vendors and third-party support for specialized maintenance of equipment.
  • Document technical setups and configurations for consistency and repeatability.
  • Deliver advanced technical support for hardware, desktop, and network infrastructure to enhance end-user satisfaction and ensure a reliable experience.
  • Foster effective communication with end-users, providing timely updates, technical education, and support that meets both technical and non-technical needs.
  • Develop, review, and refine end-user support strategies, driving improvements in response time, service delivery, and knowledge sharing.

Desired Technical Skills:
  • Audiovisual Systems Expertise: Knowledge of setting up, configuring, and operating audiovisual equipment, including microphones, speakers, mixers, projectors, screens, video cameras, lighting systems, and video conferencing systems.
  • Audio Mixing and Sound Quality: Proficiency in managing audio levels and sound quality to ensure clear and balanced sound during events.
  • Technical Event Support: Ability to collaborate with event organizers and operate audiovisual systems independently during events to deliver high-quality experiences.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Testing: Skills in performing regular maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of audiovisual equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Vendor and Third-Party Management: Experience working with external vendors and technical support teams for equipment maintenance and event production needs.
  • End-User Communication and Education: Strong communication skills to provide clear and effective updates, technical education, and support to both technical and non-technical users.

Requirements
  • Technical degree in electronics, computer maintenance/science, or technology-related + 5 years experience in a local support environment supporting multiple hardware platforms, mobile devices, and tablets.
  • 4+ years of experience producing corporate audio visual events.
  • A strong command of the English language is needed for effective communication within the organizational and customer context.

Technical Proficiency: You will be responsible for resolving technical issues in real-time over the phone and through remote access. You will need experience providing end-user technical support in an enterprise environment, with the ability to identify root causes and effectively resolve issues accurately.


Collaborative Problem-Solving: You are not alone in supporting our users; you will work closely with your team to resolve complex technical issues. You will need strong collaboration skills and a willingness to learn and share knowledge with your colleagues.

Process Accountability: Take ownership of key processes by creating clear, standardized procedures and consistently following them. Regularly review and improve these processes to enhance efficiency and meet organizational standards.
