Skilled Wound Care, a leading national surgical physician group servicing nursing homes for wound care, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented File Maker Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of File Maker functionality, with additional experience in SQL and Java Script. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our existing File Maker systems, supporting end-users with data corrections, troubleshooting, and performing bug fixes. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of developers and IT professionals.

You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our existing File Maker systems, supporting end-users with data corrections, troubleshooting, and performing bug fixes. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of developers and IT professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance existing File Maker solutions to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Develop new features and functionality based on business requirements using File Maker Pro and File Maker Server.
- Collaborate with support teams to address data corrections and backend fixes in File Maker.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve bugs in the system.
- Utilize SQL to integrate File Maker with external data sources and systems.
- Implement Java Script-based functionality to extend File Maker's capabilities where appropriate.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, developers, and business stakeholders, to deliver robust and user-friendly solutions.
- Ensure the File Maker systems adhere to best practices in design, coding, and security.
- Document workflows, code changes, and system updates for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 5+ years of experience working with File Maker Pro and File Maker Server including advanced scripting, calculation, and layout design.
- 1-2 years of experience with SQL for database integration and management.
- 1-2 years of experience with Java Script for enhancing system functionality.
- Strong understanding of relational database design principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, diverse team environment.
- Experience integrating File Maker with APIs or other third-party services.
- Knowledge of File Maker Go and Web Direct.
- Familiarity with data migration and ETL processes.
- Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking to support File Maker Server deployment and maintenance.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and improving existing systems.
- Customer-focused with the ability to translate technical details into user- friendly solutions.
- Must be willing to work US hours
- Must be fluent in English
- This position will be a full time Independent Contractor role (2-year contract with the possibility of extending depending on company needs)
- Pay: $11-$15 USD/hr depending on experience
