Position Summary
The System Analyst – Enterprise Applications reports to the Manager of Application Support and provides technical support services for the College’s enterprise software. Enterprise software are business related applications used to satisfy the needs of the college’s educational and business requirements. Some examples of the enterprise software that we support are our Student Information System (Unit4 EMS), Learning Management System (Bright Space by D2L), Service Management Software (Service Now), and Enterprise Resource Planning (Unit4 ERP).

Areas of responsibility will include:

Enterprise Software Support

• Provides Tier 2 technical support for the College’s enterprise level software.
• Performs operational support by receiving incidents and tasks through our Service Management Software, Service Now.
• Performs user administration on multiple applications and maintains a sustainable model for application access.
• Documents newly learned support knowledge into our internal knowledge base and mentors other team members.
• Extracts data from enterprise software using various types of reporting tools.
• Enable system wide parameters or settings by performing system configuration.
• Plays a key role with the software upgrade process
• Liaise with software vendors to resolve software issues and roadmap the future state of the software.

Programming and Development

• Creates and maintains stored procedures, scheduled jobs and notifications, and performance tuning as it relates to reports development.
• Develops and maintains reports using vendor specific tools and MSSQL Reporting Services tools.
  Supports 3rd party software bridges
• Ensures data security, privacy and integrity procedures are adhered to.

The System Analyst – Enterprise Applications will be a key IT Project Team member, will adhere to the ITS Project methodology, understands business requirements, and collaborate with other team members and departments. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide software systems expertise to non-technical team members, participate in gathering requirements for new or enhanced functionality, and creates appropriate project documentation.


Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer and information technology or related field
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a system analysis or IT support
• Solid knowledge of education systems would be an advantage
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectively
• Ability to identify problems or areas of opportunity, document and present solution and contribute to the development and delivery of user training programs
• Able to assist with end-user support, troubleshooting incidents, and fulfilling server requests
