We are looking for an experienced short order cook/bakery assistant who can handle all aspects of food preparation in a small but busy retail bakery.
The short order cook/bakery assistant's responsibilities include keeping food preparation areas clean including washing of dishes, cooking, baking and preparing foods, following customer orders, and stocking kitchen and food supplies.
This position requires you to have a Safe Food Handlers Certificate or Certificate/Diploma in the culinary field.
Available to work 6am - 2pm shift including every other weekend.
Must have full availability leading up to busy periods (Christmas, Easter & Thanksgiving).
To be a successful, you should have previous experience in a retail bakery or restaurant. Be organized & have excellent time management skills. You will require the ability to work quickly and multitask during busy periods with a team and alone. You should be prepared to stand for long periods of time and be capable of lifting up to 40+ lbs.

• Planning and managing weekly lunch menus.
• Baking an assortment of cookies & muffins from scratch.
• Mixing & rolling dough.
• Performing simple food preparation tasks, such as slicing meats, cheese and vegetables.
• Stocking & supplies as required.
• Rotating food and stamping the time and date on the food in the coolers.
• Cleaning food preparation dishes, equipment, and areas.
• Strong communication, teamworking, and customer service skills.
• Manual dexterity and a good sense of taste.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Pay rate will be based on experience with a 3 month probation.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
