Position Summary:
The Registered Practical Nurse shall plan, delegate and supervise care given by non- registered nursing personnel within his/her assigned unit in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Nurses.
This will include:

• Collect patient health information like Vitals and Charting and Documentation
• Fulfills professional responsibilities to maintain basic skills in accordance to standards or practice approved by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Administration of medication in accordance with standards of practice.
• Completion of treatments as ordered by the physician.

• Contributes to the development of nursing care plans

• Administering medications, Wound and Ostomy care, Palliative care, Catheter care Ventilator care and Continence management.

• Monitor patients' progress and report changes
• Ensures that all resident related documentation (e.g. care plans, treatment sheet and MARS) is updated and current, and that nursing staff refer to it accordingly.

Job Requirements:

• CNO License (mandatory)

• Current CPR and First Aid Certificate

• Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 12 months

• TB test within the last 12 months

• Must be familiar with online charting online (e-MAR, MEDITECH, Point-Click-Care)

• Must be energetic and compassionate

• Should be able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment

• Should be comfortable working solely and/or in a team environment.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Pay: $65.00-$70.00 per hour
