Purchaser
Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory levels to meet Company objectives
• Perform monthly spot inventory counts as requested by the Finance department
• Lead the annual inventory count at fiscal year end
• Issue and reconcile Purchase Orders as required
• Maintain and control used sign stock inventory and reporting
• Negotiate and administer all freight contracts, including courier outside of HRM
• Responsible for the accurate and safe shipping, receiving and placement of all inventory, documents etc. and any required follow-up
• Provide support to estimator and sales department
• Develop relationships with suppliers and service providers
• Perform preventative maintenance to equipment as assigned and maintain accurate records
• Responsible for the implementation of Company waste policy on shop floor
• Coordinate building maintenance
• Monitor vehicle fleet maintenance
• Responsible for maintenance of entire inventory tool crib, including signing in / out hand tools and keeping track of inventory as a whole
• Ensure activities meet with health and safety regulations and policies

Skills and Requirements:

• Previous experience in purchasing / inventory management
• Clean drivers abstract
• Computer literacy a must
• Use of hand tools for crating of product shipments
