Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing laboratory tests and analyses. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and laboratory procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a hospital environment. The Medical Technologist will also be responsible for phlebotomizing patients when necessary.
Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests, analyze results, and report findings

2. Operate medical equipment, maintain quality control, and troubleshoot issues
3. Prepare and stain slides, cultures, and other biological samples
4. Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and procedures
5. Maintain accurate records and adhere to safety protocols

• Analyze test results and communicate findings to healthcare professionals.
• Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Follow strict safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the laboratory environment.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients as needed.
• Document all test results accurately and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Collaborate with other medical staff to provide high-quality patient care.
• Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist in canada must be submitted
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory practices.
• Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is advantageous.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.

Pay: $27.40-$35.91 per hour
