About the Role
The IT Application Support Analyst at LNG Canada is a pivotal role dedicated to the ongoing delivery of stable application support and operations, and optimization of the IT application portfolio to maximize business value. This position reports to the IT Applications Support Lead and contributes to various initiatives including but not limited to applications lifecycle management, contracting and procurement, maintenance of the application portfolio, collaborating with IT services suppliers, test and deploy new solutions, perform gap analysis, process improvement and manage stakeholder relationships.

You will use your expertise to:
  • Strategic Portfolio Management: Support the IT Applications Support Lead to optimize the IT application portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maximizing return on investment.
  • Value-Driven Enhancements: Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and execute value-driven upgrades and enhancements to the application suite.
  • Product Roadmaps: Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps that guide the evolution of enterprise applications in alignment with business strategies and technological advancements.
  • Cost Optimization: Drive cost efficiency through strategic vendor management, application rationalization, and resource optimization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting process simplification, quality assurance, and performance enhancement across the application landscape.
  • Innovation Adoption: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating innovations such as automation, AI-driven insights, and cloud solutions into the application portfolio.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to manage expectations, ensure alignment, and deliver measurable business benefits through effective application management.
  • Cybersecurity and Compliance: Champion cybersecurity best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining robust security controls and documentation.
  • Financial Stewardship: Conduct detailed financial analysis and reporting to support budgeting, cost management, and value tracking for the application portfolio.

To be successful, you will have:
  • 5 years + proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or Applications Support Specialist, preferably in the Energy sector.
  • Post Secondary education in Information Technology, Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including data and systems analysis, business intelligence tools, and system integrations.
  • Experience deploying and/or maintaining enterprise applications, such as Cority, Energy Components, Hanelsoft, Permit Vision, PI, ERP (i.e. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Willingness to take ownership and work independently to deliver results.
  • Strong attention to details and good time management skills
  • Experience working with a geographically diverse team.
  • Clear and concise written and oral communications.
This role requires that you:
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
  • During Operate: 40 Hours/week.
  • Are willing to comply with LNGC’s drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Undergo a pre-placement medical assessment of your fitness for duty, and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs.
