The Lower Columbia Community Health Centre (CHC) Network Society invites a dedicated leader with a heart for social justice, health equity, and community-driven care to apply for the role of Executive Director.
About Us
The Lower Columbia Community Health Centre Network Society is a not-for-profit organization committed to providing holistic, accessible healthcare to all—especially the vulnerable populations we serve. Located amidst the stunning natural beauty of the Kootenay region, our organization is launching a new community health centre in Trail, BC. We need an individual to lead and partner with a multidisciplinary team to open the doors of a new facility, and facilitate the development of comprehensive care pathways that address the physical, mental, and social determinants of health.Your Role
As the Executive Director, starting from the implementation phase, you’ll be at the helm of strategic planning, overseeing healthcare delivery, and nurturing strong relationships with community stakeholders. You’ll champion interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together Primary Care Providers, Nursing, Allied Health Professionals, and Community Health Workers to ensure seamless and compassionate care for our community. Your advocacy and leadership will drive initiatives to overcome healthcare barriers, bringing resources, support, and equity to those who need it most.Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Shape and guide the future of community-centered healthcare in Trail by leading the strategic direction of the health centre.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Foster a coordinated, team-based approach to provide holistic care across disciplines.
- Community Engagement: Partner with local organizations and government agencies, advocating for health equity and innovative solutions to healthcare disparities.
- Resource Management: Manage budgets, oversee funding opportunities, and ensure financial sustainability.
- Quality Improvement & Compliance: Champion continuous improvement in healthcare practices, ensuring regulatory compliance and upholding the highest ethical standards.
- Fund Development: Lead fundraising initiatives to support the expansion and reach of health services.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Health Administration, Public Administration, Social Work, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least five years in a leadership role within community health, social services, or public policy.
- Strong knowledge of team-based healthcare, budgeting, and financial principles.
- Proven experience supporting marginalized communities, including those affected by substance use and/or mental health challenges.
- Valid BC Driver’s License and legal work status in Canada.
