Encore Brewing & Games is Hiring a Cook!
Hey – Jesse and Fred here. We purchased Cranbrook’s old bowling alley, Juniper Lanes, and have spent the last few years transforming it into Encore Brewing Co., a 250-person brewery, arcade, tasting room, kitchen, live music venue, and bowling center. We designed Encore to be where Fun lives.
Our kitchen is central to that fun, and we’re looking for a skilled Cook who shares our passion for great food, craft beer, and creating memorable experiences. If you’re excited to pair bold flavors with local brews and work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment, we’d love to meet you!
About Our Food:
We focus on shareable, quality-driven dishes, featuring pizzas, hot dogs, and tacos with rotating features. While we have core menu items, we thrive on experimenting with new ingredients and combinations. From making our own sauces to smoking meats and crafting pizza dough using spent grain from the brewery, we’re all about bold flavors and great experiences.
What You’ll Do:

• Prep, cook, and clean (the essentials, but always at a high standard)
• Execute dishes during service with consistency and speed
• Work closely with the Chef and Sous Chef to maintain kitchen standards
• Be the go-to lead when the Chef and Sous Chef aren’t on shift
• Assist with feature dishes, beer pairings, and special events as needed
• Support training and mentoring for the kitchen team

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 2 years of kitchen experience (fast-paced environments preferred)
• A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Someone who’s excited to be part of a collaborative kitchen culture
• A true lover of food and craft beer, ready to bring creativity and energy to every shift
• Ability to maintain a positive vibe—even during busy services

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
