YOUR MISSION AND POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an associate level sales position that will support our sales team by making customer connections, generating leads, qualifying leads, and managing a pipeline of prospects, be active on social media i.e., Linked In, and building the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Being our customers’ first point of contact, you’ll engage them with your natural and strong communication skills, gathering insights along the way and telling our story in a way that captures their attention.
The Business Development Representative (BDR) possesses a “hunter” mentality, is well organized and preplans high volume activity to achieve and exceed targets. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service and leadership to accounts, as well as represent company goals within the organization to ensure quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You have a natural empathy for people and find it easy to quickly build rapport over the phone and can communicate the values of the KGK Science brand.
Including the following, (other duties may be assigned):
•Develop/qualify and manage inbound leads
•Manage existing client relationships by maintaining regular contact
•Learn and execute proven processes to generate new sales opportunities by focusing on qualifying leads and utilizing outbound tactics to generate sales demand with targeted accounts and targeted industries.
•Generate new leads with outbound calls and emails
•Develop outbound lead generation strategy leveraging social media, i.e., Linked In
•Qualify new business through inbound emails, leads and calls from potential customers, developing high level conversations with senior executives to target broader sales opportunities and generate sales growth.
•Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects that have not purchased from the company in the past and are identified as new customer prospects.
•Represent the company by consistently demonstrating the understanding and modeling of the company’s mission and values.
•Align the overall corporate solution to the customer’s business needs, challenges, and requirements.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills: writing, editing, and presenting.
•Increase pipeline through demand generation and targeted campaigns.
•Stay in contact with past clients to see if they need additional services and support
•Attend networking events to identify prospects and to promote the KGK Science brand
•Collaborate with the Account Executives on sales strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s degree, preferred
•Minimum of 2 years successful experience as a successful business development representative
•A hunter, determination, and resilience to close sales and to meet/exceed monthly/quarterly/annual targets
•A confidence to make a cold call and strike up rapport
•Prior experience successfully working in metrics driven environments
•Exceptional ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively, including responsiveness
•Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt successful sales techniques
•Exceptional communication (verbal and written)
•Exceptional relationship building abilities
•Strong organization and time management skills
•At least an intermediate level in using Microsoft Office products. Especially Excel, Word, and Power Point
•Experience using CRM’s, ideally Hub Spot
