What you will do
As a HW Electrical & Electronics Engineer - Driver Interface, you will be working in a Agile Culture environment, with hands-on development & testing with trucks and test rigs at your disposal!
Your daily activities will include but not be limited to:

Develop Driver Interface solutions tailored for Latin America application, based on Platform and local HMI hardware technologies with embedded SW. - Lead requirements with SW development centers in other sites to build a SW development plan according to project budget and timelines;
- Develop SW solutions - Identifying Improvements in the source code to reduce the memory and improve SW efficiency. Develop, unit test, and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements along with system level requirements specifications.
- Configure, tune, test the component to fulfil functional requirements;
- Develop the verification/validation plan of your component(s) in collaboration with Volvo Verification Engineers and also with suppliers - assuring comprehensive testing for high quality deliveries;
- Capture HMI interaction feedbacks with different stakeholders like Commercial Area, Aftermarket, Quality, Verification, Field Test, proposing improvement on existing HMI solutions;
- Releasing drawings, technical regulations, HW components, SW components during different stages of design;
- ...Being the gatekeeper of high Quality Driver Interface Solutions in front of our customers!

Relevant Experience:
- Applicants shall have Engineering degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or similar.
- 3 years of automotive product development experience. Experience in projects of solutions with HW/embedded software, preferably from the automotive industry;
- Good proficiency level of English, both written and spoken;
- Excellent communication skills and thrive in cooperation with others. Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of LIN, CAN, and Ethernet communication;
- Experience of working on Clusters SW development, and verification.
- Good in C, C++, Python and assembly programming and Excellent debugging skills.
- International and multi-cultural experience with a global organization;
- Good knowledge of communication protocols (J1587, J1939, CAN, LIN, etc.)
Meritorious to have:
- Knowledge of truck electrical architecture;
- Vehicle or automotive experience, possibly truck-driving license;
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, power BI and requirement tools;
- Experience with Vector toolchain and especially CANalyzer and CANoe;
- Experience of control systems with Arduino;
