Position Summary:
Cintra Software & Services is an established database services provider and Oracle Platinum Partner. The company is growing at a fast pace and has a global presence in the US, UK, Romania, Brazil and India.

We are looking to grow our established expert database team by adding a skilled database professional with consulting experience This is a hands-on position requiring deep technical expertise, a disciplined approach to work, and the ability to manage complex projects from planning through delivery. Given our expanding customer base in LATAM, fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish is essential.
You will play an active role in designing and implementing database solutions, working directly with clients, and leading hands-on technical delivery in a fast-paced, global environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key member of a global database architecture team, leading projects involving primarily Oracle database builds, upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and support.
• Design and deliver solutions using diverse technologies such as physical migration approaches, logical replication tools, cloud-native features, and hosting solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, RDS Custom).
• Directly implement and optimize database environments to improve performance, scalability, and reliability, especially when transitioning between database solutions (e.g., Exadata to RDS or Oracle to Postgre SQL).
• Collaborate with clients as a technical lead, providing direct guidance and implementing solutions while coordinating with the service delivery team.
• Support pre-sales activities by contributing detailed technical designs, execution plans, and proofs of concept, using your hands-on expertise to demonstrate solution viability.
• Lead by example in the adoption of innovative tools, technologies, and approaches aligned with company strategy, actively working on implementation alongside your team.
• Deliver projects within agreed timelines and budgets, proactively escalating unresolved challenges to meet SLA commitments.
• Provide technical guidance to global team members, sharing knowledge and ensuring alignment with best practices.

Necessary Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
• 8+ years of experience as a Core Oracle DBA.
• 4+ years of experience with Oracle Golden Gate.
• 2+ years of managing Oracle databases in AWS.
• Demonstrated consulting experience with direct client engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in Oracle Database 12c+, including RAC and Data Guard.

Advantageous Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience with Exadata solutions, including Exa@CC and Exa@CS.
• Hands-on expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Proficiency in Spanish
• Knowledge of other cross-platform replication tools.
• Experience, specially, with Postgre SQL or other database systems (e.g., SQL Server).
• Automation experience using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Unix system administration experience (Solaris, HP/UX, AIX).
