In this exciting role you are part of the Technology team that is responsible for all Technology related topics in the Belgian restaurants.

About the job
The Technology Support Consultant primary’s responsibility will be to provide End User support at the headoffice and ensure the effective running of Mc Donald’s Market technology portfolio. This, in a professional and timely manner, deliver pro-active maintenance with limited impact to the business, ensure adherence to change management processes, and manage intake process of scheduling technology resources between support, maintenance and projects.
As such, you will report to the Run lead manager.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • End user technology support at the headoffice
  • Ownership of Infrastructure solutions operational and support activities
  • Ensure technology adherence to the change and program management process
  • Review and schedule operational maintenance activities with stakeholders and technology staff
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop and optimise effective and robust solutions and services
  • Execute methodologies to reduce unscheduled downtime and improve customers’ satisfaction
  • Work with the technology leadership team, Service Desk, operations, marketing and other teams on development and distribution of reports and metrics regarding service availability and performance, support efforts, and proactive maintenance
  • Work with staff for functional on boarding, including change management process implementation, report setup, and confirm and validate documentation.
  • Work closely together with Global teams to solve reported problems
  • L3 support for service providers and emergency escalation point for major issues
  • Implement and manage support procedures for incidents across all technology systems in scope

About you now
To be able to thrive in this role, we believe you need to possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that you can perform the essential functions of the job:
  • Minimum degree Bachelor in IT (or equivalent thru experience)
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience (overall Technology, Managed Services and / or Consultancy), preferably in a business environment
  • Background in ITIL and Knowledge Management processes preferable
  • Breadth of technical skills related to the hardware, software and IT infrastructure of an organization
    Superior customer service skills and experience in a client-facing role
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and quality experience
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Thoroughly and accurately understand issues and analyse the problem in a systemic fashion
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and express creativity and initiative
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and willingness to find solutions
  • Excellent verbal communication skills Fluency in French & Dutch (native in one of both) & solid knowledge of English

The following skills would be recommended:
  • Batchfile programming (Powershell scripting)
