For each patient, our medical services team transforms MRI/CT images into 3D models and successful plans, resulting in patient-specific guide and implant designs using in-house developed software solutions. Our medical production team turns design into reality using various 3D printing and post-processing techniques, after which detailed quality inspection, final cleaning, and packaging take place. To further drive and support our medical production activities, we are looking for Medical Process Engineers to join the HQ team (Leuven).
Job description
Materialise Medical pioneers many leading medical 3D printing applications and enables researchers, engineers, and clinicians to revolutionize personalized treatments that help improve and save lives. Today, we develop and offer a comprehensive range of patient-specific surgical guides and implants to a growing and diversifying global customer base.
What you will do
- Work with the global production team on topics related to 3D printing, post-processing, cleaning, and production planning. Your hands-on engineering approach allows you to become a technical expert and the go-to for both development and operational questions.
- Identify, define, and implement process improvements that follow medical quality standards while documenting and validating your work. Data collected in the validation and operational settings allow you to continuously improve the operational quality and efficiency of our processes.
- Support existing validation programs and complete new equipment, product, and process validations. Translate this into operational success by providing the right process documentation (work instructions), operator training, and support.
- As a member of the process engineering team, you will closely collaborate with stakeholders from operational, development, product, and research teams. Through involvement in a variety of activities and projects, we set up a growth trajectory in which you can shape your future at Materialise.
Your profile
- You have a master's degree in engineering or equivalent through experience; initial experience with process improvements is considered a plus.
- The use of patient-specific design and 3D printing as key parts of a global supply chain sparks your curiosity; you have a strong interest in the medical device industry.
- You are quality-oriented with a keen eye for detail while still being able to maintain progress without becoming hindered
- You are good at troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- You have a strong, versatile, and proactive work ethic and you’re eager to learn.
- English and Dutch verbal and written communication skills.
