About the Job
The 2nd Line Service Desk position at Toshiba presents a challenging ICT support opportunity where functional and technical know-how are called upon as much as a passion for excellent customer service.

You will be responsible for providing 2nd line functional and technical support to our Retail customers in Belux, typically assisting employees on the shop floor such as the store manager or cashier, in a timely manner according to priorities. You will provide practical expertise on our own developed software (e.g. POS software), hardware (e.g. POS systems, payment terminals) and processes (e.g. processes related to delivery and payment), which run on a Windows environment.
We are looking for a services-oriented, results-driven individual who can demonstrate their enthusiasm for adding value to the customer.
You will be analytical, proactive, able to set priorities and work to deadlines in a collaborative environment whilst independently taking responsibility for your assigned duties.
Please note that this role is based in Zellik, Belgium and will require Weekend support on a Rota basis (Saturday and standby shifts in rotation)
Wider responsibilities include:
  • Support for on-site and remote users
  • Analytical diagnosis and resolution of issues with desktops, hardware, software and peripherals using application knowledge and testing
  • Register, analyse and respond to 2nd Line queries received from the 1st Line, collaborating with the 3rd Line where support is needed.
  • Updating the knowledge base on the help desk and keeping this up to date where necessary as well as any other documentation that is required.
  • Creation of user guides and system documentation as required.
  • Providing services (data and reports) to users and colleagues.
  • Carry out IT Projects under the guidance of the Service Desk Manager
  • Support day-to-day running of STORELINE and Store Mate (examples of used Soft POS)
Skillset Required:
  • Experience of POS systems and experience within the Retail environment is advantageous
  • Experience with Troubleshooting and Issue Analysis
  • Excellent Teamwork, Communication and Customer Services skills
  • Experience with Windows server 2003 (or higher) and Windows 7
  • Able to demonstrate a good command of both Dutch and English language skills, both verbally and written.
