What You’ll Do

Verify chemical resistance of new or existing components when exposed to defined chemical
Conduct material related tests for characterization and/or compatibility
Drive material related failure analysis from units returned from field
Test and define hardware limits related to chemical properties (viscosity, concentration, temperature, etc.)
Drive the release of new chemicals on customer requests in alignment with design, safety & process
Provide collected technical data in trade-off tables to summarize useable materials in the design/redesign phases with correlated risks
Drive concept and feasibility projects

Who We’re Looking For

Master's degree in material science, mechanical engineering, chemistry or any related field
Education program shall have a strong affinity to plastic materials and laboratory experience

Preferred Qualification

Work experience of more than two years in the field of material science beneficial
MS Office Knowledge mandatory
Very good oral and written communication skills in English
Technical understanding and good problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and focus on detail
Experience in semiconductor industry preferred

What We're Offering

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group E or F depending on education. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year. Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
