AMADEUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL VIENNA is a vibrant, unique and dynamic IB World School (EY,
PYP, MYP, DP & CP) located in heritage listed buildings on a beautiful campus in Vienna. We strive
to create a strong sense of community, which allows students to discover their talents during the
education process. With a strong commitment to creativity and performance throughout the
school, AMADEUS has a dedicated Academy of Music and the Arts. Our excellent boarding facilities
host students from around the world as part of a school community of more than 50 nationalities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF SUPPORT AND LEARNING

• Provide student support and further their personal, moral, physical and intellectual
development
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of students in the Boarding house
  • Support the Head of House and other House Parents in their roles
  • Maintain a positive house culture and be a positive role model
  • Liaise and communicate with the Head of House on all matters of boarding student life
  • Help with the administration, organization and supervision of the boarding house including
after school activities
  • Monitor and report the general progress and wellbeing of boarding students to the Head of
House
  • Proactively manage the boarding house operations (staff and students) in the absence of the
Head of House


IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • A proactive individual with a genuine passion for working with young people
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to inspire trust and respect
  • Flexible and adaptable, capable of managing the dynamic and varied responsibilities within
the boarding house
  • Creative and enthusiastic, with the ability to plan and organize engaging activities that enrich
the students' experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead effectively, particularly in a residential or
educational setting
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, with a readiness to handle administrative tasks
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare at all times
  • Great sense of humor, passion for sports and outdoor activities, diverse and open mindset

REQUIREMENTS

  • A University degree and the ability to support students’ academic progress
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Additional languages (especially German) would be an advantage
  • Boarding experience, school or social education work experience
  • Experience in the pedagogical/student care field/teaching qualification
  • Other skills to contribute to the schools’ extra-curricular program
  • Resilience and flexibility - understands the demands of a boarding environment
  • An excellent knowledge of safeguarding young people
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
