What You’ll Do

Drive new mechanical developments in concept and feasibility state referring to fundamental new approaches for future applications.
Involve problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration with other specialists to bring ideas from concept to reality.
Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, evaluation, and validation to a diverse audience in design reviews.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure solutions can be manufactured with high-quality, cost-optimized, and to requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers.

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

University master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Physics
Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
Experience in the semiconductor industry
Strong analyzing skills and numerical ability
Good oral and written communication skills in English
MS Office knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the semiconductor industry
Experience with CAD, Inventor or NX (or similar CAD software) is beneficial
Technical knowledge of mechanical design and simulations/calculations is beneficial

What We´re Offering

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F depending on education. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year. Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
