Leaders in Healthcare, Shellharbour Health is a multidisciplinary Allied Health clinic on the NSW south coast, 90 minutes’ drive from the Sydney CBD.
We provide physiotherapy, exercise physiology, dietetics, clinical Pilates, massage therapy and various health programs to support complete health. What You'll Be Doing
The Massage therapist will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, consumers and their support networks to provide specialized assessment, exercise prescription, health education and delivery of massage therapy with the aim of improving physical and mental health, functional capacity and quality of life.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria.
· Consistently demonstrate behaviors that reinforce the CORE Values of our organization, Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
· Certificate or diploma in remedial massage with eligibility for registration with the AMT or equivalent and health fund status
· Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
· Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
· Proven ability to exercise professional judgement commensurate with years of experience and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multidisciplinary team
· Experience in the physical activity management and rehabilitation of people with a wide variety of chronic and complex conditions. A strong understanding of the relationship between mental illness and poor physical health and how the massage therapist can contribute to improved health outcomes.
- Additional skills such as dry needling, lymphoedema, hot stone, pregnancy , cupping, other will be held in high regard
